Keeping Watch over the Flock!

The story of Jesus' birth is one of EVERLASTING consequence.

Throughout the ages, God had PROMISED a REDEEMER for Deliverance!

On this special night, angels proclaimed the Good News to ALL!!

A Savior is born, the long awaited Messiah!!!

The story tells of shepherds in the fields keeping watch over their flocks of sheep.

This has significance in the PLAN God has for man.

Startling as it may have been to the shepherds, the announcement came as

PROMISED!

It is God's command that we Keep WATCH for Jesus' 2nd COMING!

Matthew 24:

(42)“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

(43) But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time

of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.

(44) So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

King Herod knew the significance of Jesus' birth!

There were evil men looking for signs that would tell the Coming of the Savior.

Jesus IS coming to deliver HIS people from eternal death separated from God!

Satan is also WATCHING for HIS COMING!

Being able to interpret the signs of HIS COMING are not nearly as important as

being PREPARED for HIS COMING!!

Every eye will SEE, every ear will HEAR and every tongue will

CONFESS that the time of HIS COMING is at hand!!!

Jesus will do the GATHERING!

We are to FEED, QUIDE and KEEP WATCH over HIS sheep!!

Let us bring the LOST sheep into HIS WATCHFUL CARE!!!
