Resisting foolish desires!

Ephesians 5:16-18

Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

All believers in Christ struggle with the desires of the flesh.

Jesus being tempted by Satan resisted the temptation for power, stature and great wealth!

If we are foolish and are unable to resist temptation, then we are opening up a much deeper rift of separation from God.

Because the days of this post modern world are growing more evil by the day, as Believers we must make every opportunity count for which Holy Spirit leads us into.

Greater glory for our Lord will be the result of resisting the foolish desires of the flesh, and desiring the will of God to be done.

Looking at the evil that is opposition to God's will, only with the strength that we have in Christ through the filling of Holy Spirit, can we victoriously defeat foolish desires and receive greater blessings from our Father!

Lord, today I resist the desires of my flesh.

In YOU will I seek YOUR best for me!
