April 19, 2005 HIS fruit is GOOD FRUIT!
Luke 6:42-44
How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers.
As Believers in Christ, we know and realize that we must self examine our lives before we speak of our brethren with unloving words.
This passage lends to us a symbolic meaning, a message that if we are to bear fruit, that is what we must desire to do, then there must be a constant and deeper examination of our seed (the WORD of God).
Just as we see a fruit tree that bears good fruit, being in good soil and fertilized, there must be a solid and deep rooted foundation in our understanding and implementation of God's WORD in our life!
We must be visible, in the eyes of our brethren as holy, righteous and without spots or specks.
Being pruned, shaped and fed by Holy Spirit's revelation as to the fruit we must bear, which is how others recognize we belong to the Family Tree of God!!!
My Heavenly Father, YOUR seed has been planted,
Watered by The Living Water,
Fed by revelation of YOUR Spirit!
Pruned and Nourished, may I bear the GOOD Fruit,
That WILL Be Seen Clearly as Belonging to YOUR Harvest!!
By YOUR Holy Spirit will holy FRUIT grow and ripen,
Giving All Honor and Glory to The Tree of Life!!!
