Gaining Everything towards Righteousness!

1 Timothy 6:3-7 NIV

If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

Paul exhorts in these verses, giving instruction to Timothy concerning the outright rebellion that is so closely associated with ungodliness.

Gaining deeper TRUTHs and sound INSTRUCTION concerning the Righteousness of God through Holy Spirit, contradicts every form of worldly gain!

Many Believers in Christ have been deceived in the past and even some believers are even now being deceived DAILY by Satan!

As to the world's opposing vision of contentment, Paul gives US a strict definition of contentment in Christ Jesus, one that encompasses both SPEECH and ACTIONS!

We as Believers should recognize the Godly counsel (WORD) Paul is giving Timothy in this extremely personal letter, and desire also the Righteous example (ACTIONS) of life portrayed by Christ for ourselves!

Father in heaven, teach me daily YOUR WORD,

that I may be FILLED to overflowing,

For out of my HEART,

will flow Righteousness and Truth!

I desire to speak of and do YOUR Perfect will!!

gaining for myself YOUR Peace and Contentment,

leaving everything I have behind,

to enter into YOUR Holy Presence!!!
