Comfort, an Overflow of God's Compassion!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Tragedy has, at times touched each of us from all sides!

Too often, comfort is sought in the forms of money, drugs, alcohol or sex.

Comfort NEVER comes from these!

Lasting Comfort comes only from God, by HIS Spirit!

Death and destruction both came to Job, his TRUST was in Jehovah God, who calms every storm in LIFE!

Job's wife suggested in Job 2:9, "Why try to hold onto your integrity?, go ahead, curse God and die!"

In all of Job's sufferings and trials, Job held steadfast, placing complete Faith in God!

God lead Job through those dark and troubled days and revealed the bright and shining LIGHT of HIS Compassion and Comfort!

Job did not place his happiness or joy in any material or emotional rewards that God blessed Job with after his confession and repentance.

Rather yet, due to his submission and obedience, Job's joy came from God and HIS Spirit, who exposed the evil and destructive consequences of sin, delivering to Job, HIS Boundless MERCY and GRACE!

Father, YOUR Comfort and Compassion I enjoy,

in the days of strife and tragedy!

Holy Spirit, YOU are my COMFORTER,

I have no other source but YOU!!!

these riches are those things which I

have by TRUSTING in YOU, Most High God!!!

Hallelujah! HE is my Lord!!!
