29 Cheshvan 5766 Accepting Instruction from God!
1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 NIV
It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
We as Believers in Christ must strive to please God in our lives, not that we would be pleasing to others, but that we be a witness for and of Christ, who lived every second of HIS life in obedience and submission to the Father's will and purpose for HIS Glory and Honor.
Sanctified and holy, a very different call from God than to be impure as Christ Jesus was.
Although, we are able to live by the example Christ gave us in HIS life, that we are able to accomplish those great and mighty exploits, which God says we can portray as it is written in HIS WORD, that we can them only by allowing Holy Spirit to have complete control of our heart.
Out of our hearts do we speak and act, both of these are reflections of who is Lord of our heart, as we are commanded by God to abide in HIM and HIS WORD!
Amen!!!
