So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets:
Many times we as Believers in Christ are pursuaded by God through Holy Spirit, to move out of this place of comfort and contentment, and into a place where HE will provide even greater blessings.
As Joseph and Mary were told to leave Egypt, a land where God had them to go shortly after Christ was born, a place of comfort, protection and provision that seemed perfect for raising a young family, God had greater plans for Jesus, and these plans could not be fulfilled in a land of just enough.
Today, may be that day, in which Holy Spirit is calling many of us to come out of this place of contentment, and move into an area for greater growth, a place that HE will nurture and reveal to us HIS plan, filled with blessings that far exceed any thing we have previously hoped, dreamed or even asked for!!!
This calling by God's Spirit upon our lives, which through our OBEDIENCE to HIS guidance and provisions, are much the same as the calling Peter, James, John and Paul had upon their lives, and is as purposeful and prophetic as that of HIS Son, Christ Jesus!!!
