A Fragrant Appeal!

John 12:3

Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume;

she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair.

And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

As Believers in Christ, Easter is remembrance of Jesus' resurrection with the Promise of Eternal Life!

We see evidence of this in nature, as the Easter Lily pushes forth with new life to blossom and release it pleasing fragrance.

The event described in this scripture reveals much more than the natural mind can embrace.

Portraying a prophetic scene where sacrifice is freely offered and produces a fragrance pleasing to the nostrils of Jehovah God!

A portrayal of our New Birth in Christ Jesus, springing forth and producing evidence of HIS new Life within Us!!

Truly a picture of Believers withstanding the dryness and heat of a long summer.

Receiving the RAIN for nourishment during the autumn season of life!

Being BUILT UP with HIS Strength to endure the harsh bitterness of the cold winter.

Once again being REVIVED by the Spring RAIN preparing to burst forth through the SOIL of HOPE and FAITH!

Displaying the beauty and fragrance brought about by obedience and reverance to the SON for HIS warmth and compassion!!!
