Righteousness in Christ, resisting every temptation!

1 Peter 4:1-6 NIV

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

Have you ever considered that Apostle Peter's words are as relevant today, as a warning and a reminder to believers, as they were when written 2000 years ago?

A warning for Believers in Christ, that the enemy and all temptations for pleasures of the flesh in this life, bring about suffering and judgement, leaving them spiritually dead, judged by a Holy and Righteous God!

A reminder of the suffering, pain and shame, Christ Jesus took upon HIMSELF that those who accept and believe in HIM by faith, can live righteously in HIM, being judged also by God accordingly.

Holy Spirit continues today, guiding and exhorting Believers in Christ to remain true to their committment to living according to the example of Christ' life!

Daily, Believers in Christ having not only the WORD of God in our hearts, but also Holy Spirit who will strengthen us to resist every temptation of the flesh, being victorious through Christ who conquered sin, death, hell and the grave!!!

O' Father, it is through Christ, and HIM alone

that I am set free from the bondage of sin,

having YOUR Spirit to guide my every step!

All that I am and All that I ever hope to be,

Is In YOU, Precious Lord!!

Knowing YOUR Righteousness is now

within me because of Christ, and HIM alone!!!
