Rejoice and be Full of Joy!

Luke 10:18-21 NIV

He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven." At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.

Recorded in these scriptures are details of Jesus sending out the 72 disciples with instructions, dealing with demons, spirits and all manner of rejection that they would encounter while preaching the gospel.

Here we see that after the disciples returned rejoicing and telling of how the demons and spirits of Satan submitted to the authority of Jesus' name.

Jesus spoke to them in a manner unlike that which we might expect.

Christ Jesus told them of the time when Satan was cast from heaven, being the enemy towards God and HIS children, that had the power to rob them of their Joy in the Lord, deceiving them of their inheritance of eternity in heaven because of PRIDE and ARROGANCE concerning the power and authority given to them by Holy Spirit to overcome EVERY work of the enemy!

Jesus then praised God, HIS Father, Lord of heaven AND earth! For God, through Holy Spirit had revealed a GREATER revelation to these, HIS little children of the

GREATER JOY of blessing them with eternal life,

THAT BEING HIS GOOD PLEASURE!!!

Consider this to be a revelation that continues even today, to be

HIDDEN from the WISE and LEARNED!

Father, Lord of heaven and earth, Holy is YOUR name!

YOU have prepared an eternal home for me,

where JOY and PRAISE will forever be on my lips!!

As I journey through this life telling others

of YOUR Christ and HIS love for them,

Reveal to me greater TRUTHS by YOUR Holy Spirit

that I may gain YOUR Wisdom and YOUR Learning, I pray!!!
