Pleasing God with NEW Life in Christ!

Ephesians 5:8-13 NIV

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:

"Wake up, O sleeper,

rise from the dead,

and Christ will shine on you."

By the passing away or our death to our former way of life, taking on NEW Life in Christ, we must be obedient in our testimony and deeds.

Keeping our hearts and minds pure with prayer, reading and studying God's WORD, we overcome ALL darkness with HIS LIGHT!

Just as the scripture says, expose the fruitless deeds of darkness and disobedience to the Light of the Lord.

Exposing disobedience DOES REQUIRE that we as Believers move into that secret place with God, being strengthened by Holy Spirit for greater exposure, unwavering in our committment serving our Lord and Savior in this world filled with darkness and pain.

Holy and Righteous Lord, lift me up in YOUR arms,

Carry me through every valley of darkness,

Being Light that shines for all to see!

Enduring every hardship and trial,

I will faithfully move forward,

Advancing against the enemies of darkness!!

Claiming Victory in Jesus,

Sharing the Light of YOUR WORD,

Bearing fruit of GOODNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUTH!!!
