March 21, 2005 A Savior Has Come!
Matthew 9:12-13
On hearing this, Jesus said, It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
In the days leading up to Jesus' betrayal, beating and crucifixion, HE taught the disciples the true nature of God's love and desire for man.
Upon seeing the crowd that greeted HIM as HE entered Jerusalem at the beginning of Passover, HE continued to obey God's will and plan for the salvation of man having compassion for all.
To those who were present on that day, they could not realize the sacrifice that would soon be made that would reconcile all mankind to Jehovah God who accept HIM as Savior.
As Christ was the Passover Lamb that would be sacrificed, for the sinner, bringing healing and deliverance, just as the first Passover lamb was for the Hebrews in Egyptian bondage.
We can never offer anything worthy such as HIS sacrifice, therefore we must desire mercy from Father God.
We, being condemned because of sin,
Desire and cry out for HIS mercy!
HIM, being full of Grace and Mercy,
Became the Lamb who was slain,
Delivering healing, hope and salvation!!
HIS coming, even HIS death was for us, New Life in HIM!!!
Amen
