March 24, 2005 We Shall see HIS Glory!
Luke 9:28-32
The Transfiguration
About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.
Believers in Christ must come to the realization that to see the Glory of God, we must be awake and close to Christ.
This scripture is just another glimpse of evidence that God will allow HIS children to see and recognize people in heaven.
Jesus taught of the beggar and the rich man, separated by a vast chasm, which could not be crossed, yet the rich man knowing that he was separated from God and HIS presence recognized not only the beggar but also the Glory of God.
It must be understood that not only will believers see HIS Glory but also the unbeliever, but yet the unbelievers will be separated from HIS presence.
Our commission is to speak of these things which Christ has revealed to us as believers, to the lost and unbelieving.
HIS Glory will shine forever,
The Light for which men will seek.
I must care for those whose have not found,
HIS salvation, nor believe HE is Risen!!
For HE alone is to be Glorified!!!
