A Walk with Jesus!

Luke 24:14-16

They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but they were kept from recognizing him.

After Christ' resurrection, 2 men returning from Jerusalem were greeted by Jesus on their journey home.

These men were obviously believers, and were so involved in their conversation about the happenings over the last few days of Passover, that they unknowingly were in the presence of the Risen Savior.

They were so captivated by the events that surrounded them that even walking with the Messiah seemed unlikely.

As believers, have we been in a situation where we did not realize that we were in the presence of the Son of God?

HIS promise that HE would be with us and never forsake us, is clearly fulfilled in this scripture.

Even if we do not recognize HIM, HE is still present and walking with us.

Only after being revealed by the Spirit of God, do we understand the fullness of HIS promise.

O' Father, by walking with Jesus everyday,

Am I able to recognize HIM as my Lord!

Holy Spirit, quide me along my journey,

Revealing to me, HIM with whom I walk daily,

Direct my journey on YOUR path of righteousness,

That I may continue walking in HIS presence.
