In HIS likeness, We will overcome!

1 Corinthians 4:9-11

For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men. We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored! To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.

The apostle Paul wrote dramatically, placing great emphasis on others status in the body of Christ.

Not one to mince words, Paul spoke from the position of one who had been in the presence of God!

The early disciples left work, family and friends to follow the Messiah, to the point of ridicule, torture and beatings, even unto death, just as Christ.

Just as Jesus is victorious over persecution, troubles and death, we as believers are being transformed into HIS likeness.

This is only possible, when we commit our life to HIM, knowing that we belong only to HIM.

Some of us will be persecuted, ridiculed and even dishonored for the sake of Christ! Did HE not say that this would come to pass?

In believing HIS WORDs, we must also understand that we will be VICTORIOIS!!!

Paul mentions that we are homeless. Yes, homeless!

Our eternal home is to be, therefore we must bear much in order that HE may be Glorified, just as Paul suffered for HIM!

Christ' promise of our heavenly residence, IS worth the price HE paid!!!

O' Lord, that I may be strengthened by your sufferings,

Hungry and thirsty for more of YOU!

Because YOU desire every good and perfect thing for me,

How can I not be Victorious?

Only by my weakness, am I made strong in YOU,

O' Christ, my Lord and Master!!!
