HIS Mark of Servanthood!

Galatians 6:14-17 NIV

May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God. Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

Being recognized as a Believer in Christ, we must bear HIS mark on and in our lives, both physically and spiritually as well.

But how are we to bear HIS mark on our physical bodies without the stonings, beatings and imprisonment that the Apostle Paul endured for the Gospel of Christ?

By the mark of God's Holy Spirit, are we recognized as spiritual servants, having received HIS deliverance from slavery to sin, a role of obedience which destroys the chains of bondage.

The physical marks which the Apostle Paul describes may very well be, the price of a complete and total committment to Christ as our Master, something that the enemy of God will use to hinder our personal spiritual growth in God's Kingdom!

Father, what JOY fills my soul,

knowing Christ is my master!

HIS stripes have delivered me,

set me free from bondage,

and the imprisonment of sin!!

YOUR mark of Holy Spirit will

cover me completely,

because Christ paid my ransom on Calvary!!!
