The Listening, HIS Guide to Life!

John 5:36-40 NIV

For the very work that the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing, testifies that the Father has sent me. And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

As Christ spoke of HIS Father's testimony, HE specifically mentions those who study scripture seeking to find answers which might help them find and possess eternal life.

A commonly misunderstood concept, one of reading God's WORD aloud which enables the reader to retain more information about HIM, thus gives way to this question;

With which form of hearing are we listening to the VOICE of God?

Lending to the various methods of teaching, this concept does increase our intellectual comprehension, but leaves the unguided reader with far less of an understanding of any spiritual TRUTHs, which can only come by our hearing through God's VOICE, Holy Spirit, and not by OUR voice!

Believers in Christ, being GUIDED by Holy Spirit, hear with a deeper spiritual understanding of Christ, and by listening to HIM who DWELLS within us, gain Eternal Life and not just the information about it!

Father, as I listen to YOUR voice,

I am guided into the depths of YOUR Love!

No other VOICE will I trust,

for my salvation, but HIM

who speaks into my heart!!

HE alone is my Book of Life,

WORDs I JOYFULLY read

and will REMEMBER forever!!!
