Reflections of HIS Son!

Hebrews 12:7-11 NIV

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

A Believer in Christ must strive to be a REFLECTION of Christ in their life.

As for receiving our REBIRTH in Christ, being made children of God, adopted by our heavenly Father, we often undergo the discipline of a father to his son.

If it were not for our promised inheritance, which is rightfully ours due to our covenant with Jehovah God through HIS Son, Christ Jesus, then we would neither stand under this discipline from our heavenly Father, nor would we continue suffer persecution without having a true understanding of being in God's Holy presence for eternity!

Christ Jesus respecting HIS Father, submitted to HIS Father's will and purpose, and after undergoing sufferings, persecutions and death, is able to sit at the Right Hand of Father God, which is HIS place, NOW and FOREVER!!!

Much as we dislike the idea of discipline, the writer of the Book of Hebrews however mentions that discipline produces a Harvest of Righteousness and Peace for the believer who undergoes it's training!

O'Lord, YOU made me, and YOU care for me!

As my Father, I will respectfully submit

to YOUR will for my life, as I serve

YOU with all that I am!!

By Holy Spirit, I receive training from YOU,

that in Christ Jesus, will I be found

to become more like HIM, each day!!!

Amen!!!
