Ignorance? God commands REPENTANCE!!!

Acts 17:28-31 NIV

'For in him(Christ) we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' "Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by man's design and skill. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him(Christ) from the dead."

The Apostle Paul spoke boldly, withholding nothing concerning the TRUTH of God and HIS WORD!

Paul's mention of the past ignorance(s) of man, EITHER because of the insanity that comes from rebellion, or worthless knowledge gained by vain studies.

As Believers in Christ, we are to submit to Holy Spirit for our complete and total understanding of Christ, HIS sacrifice for us and HIS resurrection, receiving HIS forgiveness through our confession and repentance, leading us into HIS Righteousness.

Thereby gaining TRUE Wisdom from the Creator and Sustainer of our FAITH, Christ Jesus, the EVERLASTING Prince of Peace and Righteous Judge!!!
