SACRIFICE proves total commitment!

John 6:66-69 NIV

From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. "You do not want to leave too, do you?" Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God."

Recorded earlier in this 6th chapter of The Gospel According to John, Jesus spoke of having seen God, HIS testimony and witness to the existence of heaven.

Having also been in heaven, Jesus knew beforehand the victory that would inevitably be given into HIS hands, an inheritance for HIS Believers also!

For this, the sacrifice which Christ made of HIMSELF, we as Believers must also sacrifice our own selves in order for HIM to become our Lord and Savior.

HIS own blood, which has been sprinkled on the altar in heaven for the forgiveness of our sin, is why the Apostle Peter became such a bold and courageous witness, denying himself, eventually dying, and as some records indicate, was crucified upside down, unworthy to die in the same manner as his Lord!

O'Lord, reveal to me greater depths

of YOUR Love and Mercies!

I lay at YOUR feet my every burden,

and cry, Holy, Holy, Holy

is YOUR name in all the earth!!

Stretch forth YOUR hand to me,

lifting me up,

to stand and speak boldly

of Christ, my King!!!

Christ Jesus, God's Holy One! Hallelujah!!!
