Sufferings and Betrayal!

John 6:60-65 NIV

On hearing it, many of his disciples said, "This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?" Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, "Does this offend you? What if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. Yet there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. He went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled him."

Christ Jesus knew that betrayal would be one of the vital similarities that HIS believers will face in our daily walk with HIM.

HIS declaration, HIS Spirit gives LIFE, given to HIS Believers, Holy Spirit is the ENABLER who gives us an awaresness and understanding of hard teachings.

We as Believers in Christ, HIS church, are HIS likeness in this world, as HE suffered many things, so will we also!!!

In 1 Thessalonians 1:6, Paul, an Apostle of Christ also declares;

You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.

Father, I will rejoice in my suffering,

knowing that it counts for all Joy!

Holy Spirit is enabling me to stand,

where I will be unmoved in my resolve!!

Knowing that I will be betrayed in the last hour,

I will not be offended, but honor YOU, Adonai!!!
