1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Amplified Bible

Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

 

Yes, as Believers in Christ we are to REJOICE that TRUTH and Righteousness prevails in our lives as the working of God's Love flows through us.

By our own power, we would not be able to love those who despise us for serving a risen Savior.

We could not bear the persecution of those who do the evil works of the enemy of God against us each day.

We are not as anyone who seeks our own way in this life, but we desire with everything that is within us(HIS Spirit), to be like HIS Son, who loves everyone and sacrificed HIS life that we all might have eternal life.

What more JOY could we possibly have in life, than knowing Christ as Lord and Savior, and having HIS Love as assurance that we are HIS, chosen to be blessed and redeemed above every circumstance?

 

O'Lord, cover me with YOUR Glory,
and set me in YOUR courts of Praise!
My heart cries out for YOUR Mercy and Grace,
recieving YOUR Promise of Forgiveness!!
Work YOUR mighty WORKS of TRUTH in my life,
so others may know that YOU LIVE!!!
