"The Well of Life!"
Christ Jesus spoke of the man that drinks and lives for and of himself only, and in his death will experience the second death, but the man which chooses to live and drink from HIM, the Wellspring of Eternal Life, having died to himself, will then receive as his inheritance God's Spirit and eternity in HIS Heavenly Presence.
The well of self, being the shallow and stagnant cesspool that it is, where drawing and drinking such a cup as Jesus said, results in heartache, pain and death outside the doors of heaven.
Having experienced in my own life, what Christ tells me is of God's Promise to those who drink from HIM, never thirsting again for what will only satisfy my flesh, having drawn from HIS well of self-lessness, I can then know and be satisfied that my life is and will continue forever being filled with HIS Spirit which is God's gift I receive with Joy and Gladness of heart.
Sadly, I know of many who will never know of or have opportunity to drink of HIS Well, satisfying their thirst, continuing to look for something easier and shallower in which to quench their thirst, because I did not tell them about HIM.
I must diligently be willing to search tirelessly, seeking those who thirst, telling them how only HE satisfied my thirst, and lead them to HIM, so they too, may drink of the Living Water, abundant, deep and filling, free to all who find and choose living their life for HIM, never to thirst again.
