"Opposing Perception!"

"From Within the Church!"

Galatians 2:5-7 (Amplified Bible)

To them we did not yield submission even for a moment, that the truth of the Gospel might continue to be [preserved] for you [in its purity]. Moreover, [no new requirements were made] by those who were reputed to be something--though what was their individual position and whether they really were of importance or not makes no difference to me; God is not impressed with the positions that men hold and He is not partial and recognizes no external distinctions--those [I say] who were of repute imposed no new requirements upon me [had nothing to add to my Gospel, and from them I received no new suggestions]. But on the contrary, when they [really] saw that I had been entrusted [to carry] the Gospel to the uncircumcised [Gentiles, just as definitely] as Peter had been entrusted [to proclaim] the Gospel to the circumcised [Jews, they were agreeable];

The Apostle Paul was certainly no stranger to opposition, himself having been transformed by Holy Spirit from a staunch oppressor of all who believed by Faith the Gospel of Christ, consistent in seeking the complete Counsel of God.

Whereas Paul, receiving the revelation of the complete Gospel of Christ, himself became an oppressed Believer in Leadership, painstakingly sought to confront those who openly interjected laws and requirements upon other believers with false doctrine and perverted tenets of Faith in Christ, having based their character upon personal selfish desires rather than upon the character and testimony of Holy Spirit and the message of reconciliation of fellowship between believers.

Over 2000 years of church history, this confrontation between leadership and believers under their leadership, continues day in and day out, week after week, within the corporate fellowship of Believers.

Looking to God's WORD as the basis for discipline and discipling believers, leaders are oftentimes confronted by a believer's perception of Authority and Discipline, which is generally biased and falls outside the boundaries and guidelines set in place by God as Complete and Sovereign.

Leaders will be held accountable for every decision made that is rendered, either selfishly or in order and the effect that it has on the church as a whole, but there will be a much different judgement handed down to those indignant and beligerent believers who oppose the leaders in the fellowship.

I am reminded of God's immediate and deadly judgement against those who are used by the devil, as was Ananias and his wife Sapphira in Acts 5, and also of God's temporary disciplining of Elymas in Acts 13, a man whom Paul stated was continually working the divisive works of the enemy of God.

These scriptures are not perception but rather reality, when opposing the Faith and leadership appointed by God brings both physical and spiritual death to the rebellious.

Justify every accusation against God's appointed leadership, based solely on God's WORD, HIS Son of Truth and HIS Spirit, and never upon distorted personal perception.

O'Lord, flood upon my heart YOUR Spirit of Truth,
rescue me from the hurtful tongues of my enemies!
For they continually resist YOUR Holy Counsel,
Victory and Power in Christ are mine,
to endure through these and all sufferings!!
YOUR WORDs comfort me in all my distress,
and upon my knees may I be found,
seeking YOUR Counsel and Wisdom,
for both come only from YOU, O'Lord!!!
Father, I must die to myself,
that I may live in YOU!

Amen!
