"Prayer of Jacob!"
"Prayer of (John) Jacob!"
Father, as I awake and seek YOUR face,
to quide me along my journey in life.
As the morning breaks,
I count my numerous blessings and give YOU Praise,
for without YOU, I am as the morning mist,
a vapor that will soon fade away.
Because of YOU, I will have been a comfort,
and a friend, to many who will awake in a fog.
Joy and Peace comes from YOUR Holy Presence,
as I walk through my garden,
listening to a stillness that speaks so loud.
YOUR assurance brings a soothing soltice,
where hurt and doubt had once been.
As I am but one who will live for YOU today,
Stretch forth YOUR hand now,
and bless those who I will meet.
I will press into YOUR Glory and Presence,
to be strengthened for my journey towards home.
All these I pray in HIS Name, Christ Jesus, who loves me so,
Forever and Amen!
