Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and,
AFTER LOOKING AT HIMSELF,
goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.
I ask myself, does God see me as I see myself, or
Does HE see me through the Blood of Christ,
as HE said HE does in HIS WORD?
If my mortal life is referred to as a cesspool, and I am IN this world, but NOT OF this world,
in my understanding, IT IS BECAUSE of my heavenly citizenship!
Then my life, more or less, resembles that of a toilet,
where CONSTANTLY,
the junk piles up, THEN gets flushed!!!
Only THEN, I am replenished with that pure and clean water from HIM,
Holy Spirit, my REFRESHING source, provided by HIS WORD.
YES, I can ONLY imagine, God WATCHING HIS Creation, swirling aimlessly about, clinging to the rim, just waiting for that next flush,
NEVER knowing of HIS source, Holy Spirit, who waits patiently for each man to cry out in desparation
for HIS Saving Grace and Promise of Eternal Life,
through the death and resurrection of HIS Son, Christ Jesus!
