"The Day of the Lord!"
The woman said,
Then Jesus declared,
Even the Samaritan woman did not recognize Christ as HE stood before her!
Many scriptures state that Jesus did not or would not reveal HIMself to those HE was speaking to, because their hearts were not yet ready to receive HIM!
Everyday, as a believer, I must be READY to receive Christ and HIS WORD, HE will never force upon me what I do not desire!
It is without saying, that after Jesus told the Samaritan woman who HE was, she went and told others in the town in which she lived;
Now, what surprises me is this, she RECOGNIZED Christ as Lord, as scripture reveals. Yet, even after Christ REVEALED HIS Glory to Peter, James and John in the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter still could not immediately grasp the eternal significance of who Christ IS! Some are like Peter, it takes something else to wake them up from their slumber.
Many times in my early years, as a Believer in Christ, I must admit, I also was like Peter, even after SEEING and KNOWING Christ, I could not comprehend or recognize the Lord when HE revealed HIMself!
