After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, "Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you."

"Why were you searching for me?" he asked. "Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?" But they did not understand what he was saying to them.

To those who do not know Christ as Lord and Savior, it may be hard to comprehend that a 12 year old boy would be concerned about the business of his father, or any business for that matter.

I can only imagine, the anxiety of a family looking desparately for a child that has wandered from their sight and away from their protection.

In this instance in the life of Jesus, his parents went looking for HIM, searching all around, eventually finding HIM in the temple, where HE was talking with the teachers and many others who were present in the temple courts, asking them questions and, HE was amazing them with HIS understanding and HIS answers!

Christ Jesus was learning from them, and at this early age, was dedicated to learning more of HIS Father's thoughts and ways, as one day HE would become the TEACHER to them and to us even today through Holy Spirit!!!

I for one, know that I must daily be in my Father's PRESENCE, reading HIS WORD, praying, praising and most of all listening to Holy Spirit, who will teach me more about HIM, HIS thoughts and ways.

As HE guides me daily, to live my life, as one who is accepted and having a specific purpose within HIS Will!
