"HIS Healing Touch"

 

"My lips have been OPENED!"

 

Mark 7:33-37 (New International Version)

After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man's ears. Then he spit and touched the man's tongue. He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, "Ephphatha!" (which means, "Be opened!" ). At this, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly. Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it. People were overwhelmed with amazement. "He has done everything well," they said. "He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak."

Reading the Apostle Mark's account of Jesus healing the deaf and mute man, I understand that God is revealing a Spiritual TRUTH using this reference to a physical need.

Christ healed this man who was unable to hear or speak, much like HE healed us, so that NOW, we can hear HIS Voice and speak HIS TRUTH with Authority and Power which comes from HIM through Holy Spirit.

I can look back to Isaiah 6:7,8, and know that when God touched my lips, I am now able to speak of those great and mighty things that HE has done in my life!

Having my eyes OPENED as well to HIS WORDs of TRUTH, I am now able to see clearly HIS hand of Mercy touching every area of my life.

Only by my telling others of Christ' healing Power, will I have answered HIM, 'Here I am Lord, Send me!'

 

O'Lord, I Praise YOU for healing my heart,
I Rejoice in knowing YOU created me anew!
My lips will forever sing of YOUR Love,
YOUR Mercy and Grace, I will shout aloud!!
Every day YOUR Voice stirs me to speak,
as YOUR Spirit teaches me Eternal TRUTH,
I am YOURS, Send me O'Lord !!!

 

Hallelujah, My Redeemer Lives!
