"Comfort in Praise!"

"Compassion of my Father!"

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (New International Version)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Believers in Christ often suffer intensely for their Faith in Christ, some to the degree of the Apostles Peter, James and Paul.

It was only through the Promised Comforter, Holy Spirit, that these men were able to endure hardship and persecution for the Praise and Glory of God our Father.

Here I find that Paul, rather than dwelling on the difficult circumstances that he was enduring for the Gospel of Christ, he praises God for HIS abiding comfort and rejoices knowing that others receive comfort in their troubles as well.

The Prize is Worth the Pain, a statement when spoken with deep and compelling compassion, reminds me of the sacrifice which Christ made for me in order that I receive the blessed gift of Holy Spirit into my life.

To be known as someone who professes Christ as my Lord and Savior, I must extend this same Love, Compassion and Comfort to my fellow brothers and sisters in Faith, as well as others who are troubled and hurting, that my Father God extended to me when HE offered HIS own Son as the only one found worthy who could bear my pain and sufferings, redeeming me from the guilt of my sin.

O'Lord, YOU suffered for my every pain,
blotting out my sin and guilty stain!
In all that I do may YOU be forever praised,
if for only me YOU died and was powerfully raised!!
This I know having been made free and whole,
that through me YOU comfort many a hurting soul!!!
Garments of Praise laid at YOUR feet,
singing of YOUR WORD so tender and sweet!

Amen!
