"Uplifting Prayers!"
The Apostle Paul knew all too well the affliction, oppression and persecution for believing in Christ, of HIS guiltless life, persecution for speaking God's TRUTH and of HIS agonizing death and glorious resurrection.
For centuries many believers have also suffered in the same way, holding steadfast to the WORDs of Christ, knowing the JOY of their HOPE and the POWER of God through faithfullness in prayer.
As I strive daily to be more like Christ, what suffering or persecution I will endure is only a small portion compared to those that Christ and the early disciples endured.
Facing overwhelming oppression, Christ, Paul and so many other believers have prayed for God's intervention in situations that for the most part were beyond what mortal man is capable of withstanding.
God hears my confessions, accepts my repentance and forgives me, then begins a healing and growing process which strengthens my resolve, preparing me for a greater level of service in which HE will be glorified.
Faithfully I must also be continually in prayer for my brothers and sisters in Christ, for God promises me that HE will comfort and console each one through Holy Spirit.
Christ suffered, Paul and others suffered, yet their prayers touched the heart of God.
By Paul's example of walking and living in faith, I must also seek God's face, because HE hears my prayers concerning my afflictions and my petitions regarding others and HE answers each of them according to HIS Will.
