So it is with yourselves; since you are so eager and ambitious to possess
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthain Believers in Christ, with the specific purpose of further explaining the Gift and Gifts received as a Rightful Inheritance, resulting from the Baptism of Holy Spirit.
A fullness or complete measure of God's outpouring of HIS Spirit upon beleivers, was exceedingly apparent in the lives of the 1st century apostles and disciples, and this manifestation of God's Holy Spirit continues today, 2000 years later.
Building up the church, encouraging and edifying the believers brings Glory and Honor to Christ, where a believer's Faith is strengthened and directed for God's purpose of proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel to a lost and dying generation.
I must daily seek direction and guidance from Holy Spirit, to be both encouraged and be an encouragement to my brothers and sisters in Christ, for that as the Apostle Paul explains, something to strive for, excel and abound in.
God purposed to bestow HIS Power only upon those who believe in HIM, which in turn, bears the undisputed resemblance to the manifestations of HIS WORK through HIS Son, Christ Jesus.
Desiring every part of HIM that I am due by Inheritance, then desiring more of HIS Gifts of Holy Spirit is an Obedient response on my part, to God and HIS Eternal WORD.
