"My Repentance--HIS Forgiveness!"

John 12:40 (Amplified Bible)
 
He has blinded their eyes and hardened and benumbed
their [callous, degenerated] hearts [He has made their minds dull],
to keep them from seeing with their eyes
and understanding with their hearts and minds
and repenting and turning to Me to heal them.

The Apostle John recites from the Book of Isaiah, these WORDs spoken directly to HIM from God, where Isaiah had also heard God's Voice ask;

'Whom shall I send?'
'And who will go for us?'

These are the very WORDs of God, which resound loudly both ring day and night in my ears!

God's 'Call to Repentance, deep from within the hearts of HIS people!'

Desiring to fulfill God's Call, many Believers in Christ submit their hearts and minds to the 'Great Commission' of preaching Salvation through Christ through Repentance.

God's WORD brings a deep conviction to my heart by the Power of Holy Spirit,

Conviction of both my need for repentance,
and of my duty as HIS servant
to proclaim HIS Son, Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord.

In 2 Corinthians 7:10, the Apostle Paul is speaking in this letter to Believers in Christ, within the Corinthian church;

For godly grief and the pain God is permitted
to direct, produce a repentance that leads and contributes to salvation
and deliverance from evil, and it never brings regret;
but worldly grief (the hopeless sorrow that is characteristic
of the pagan world) is deadly [breeding and ending in death].

God PROMISES to Forgive me when I come to HIM with a repentant, broken and contrite heart, seeking revival and restoration in fellowship through Christ, and never experiencing regret for having accepted HIM as Lord.

God's people suffer many things in this world, yet it is HIS WILL that none suffer nor perish because of their sin, when 'Forgiveness and Revival' are only a prayer of repentance away!

More of who Christ IS to me!

          MORE like HIM,

                        I desire to be!!

                      Some day SOON, with HIM I will BE!!!

O'Lord, my heart cries out to YOU in sorrow,
for my sin and transgressions are great in YOUR sight!
YOU Promise in YOUR WORD to hear my cry,
from a broken heart and forgive!!
I turn from them and return to YOU,
so that YOU may finish a WORK in me!!!
YOUR Son gave HIS ALL for me,
and to HIM must I give my everything!
Cleanse my heart O'Lord, of all unrighteousness,
restore me as YOU have Promised in YOUR WORD!

Be merciful to me O'Lord, healing me in every way!

Amen!!!
