"The Reward of Worship!"
As I read these scriptures, I think of the vast majority of people, both believers and non-believers, whose attempt at being justified in their lives, receiving a reward for any and all labors, are resolute in assuming that, JUST BEING, dictates their right to an eternal inheritance.
While the WORD of God has such a different and absolutely, positively, even beyond clear and certainly without error, outline of a servants REWARD for OBEDIENCE (those who have Accepted, Believed in, placing their Faith, Trust and Hope in, and with the Confessions of their words), that HIS Spirit inspired the Apostle Paul to record in great detail HIS WORDs,
Where so many times, it is written in God's WORD, do I see where those who reasonably assumed that their labor in works justified their right to an Inheritance, it was found that they were unfaithful in their OBEDIENCE to what God has defined as REASONABLE elements necessary to be FOUND worthy of such a Majestic and Eternal REWARD.
What person starts any business or labors of any sort, without first clearly understanding the PURPOSE, consulting the outlines of the PLAN and identifying the requirements of the CONTRACT, before ever beginining their work?
Assumption and Perception, both being unreasonable and worthless attitudes, based entirely on a lack of Faith and Knowledge of God and HIS WORD, becomes evident in that person's life, where the RESULTS are both DEADLY and ETERNAL when it comes to receiving God's defined penalty of Rebellion, DisObedience, and even InDifference to the Gospel of Christ.
That should make even the most Committed and Dedicated believer, take a constant and thorough effort to look intensely and daily into what God's WORD says concerning the LIGHT, to be seen and BELIEVED as both TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS!
REWARD is based SOULy on the decision I make in regards to SERVing Christ and my heavenly Father, because HE alone deserves my reverence and awe as I worship HIM in Obedience.
