Volume 4 Chapter 1 Page 4

Friday January 5, 2007       15 Tevet 5767

"Pressing Onward!"

"Into God's WORK!"

Philippians 3:12 (New International Version)

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Where I believe the WORDs of Christ, as the Apostle Paul certainly did, I know without hesitation that HIS Life was the Perfect example from birth to resurrection, and that is what God desires for my life.

When looking to my past to see what God has done over the years, I am then reminded by these WORDs of what it is that Christ took hold of,,,

me.

If everything I have experienced in my past would have been easy, uneventful and painless, then I would not understand what Paul was writing about to the Philipian believers about pressing on towards completeness and perfection in Christ Jesus.

Most Believers in Christ will agree with me, that the past mess and tests of our lives, are what God uses as our MESSAGE and TESTIMONY of and to HIS Power.

It is then that each one of us must realize that our journey each day is to be a continual and ongoing desire for that Perfection in Christ which God mandates for every True and Faithful believer.

Believers in Christ today are faced with the same decision that the early disciples were,

Accepting Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior, HIS Promise of Salvation and Eternal Life through Obedience to HIS Calling and Commandment recorded in Matthew 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

Then as Peter, James, Paul and John, being filled with Holy Spirit, will each of us be prepared for placement into God's WORKforce, where we will also diligently labor in Faith and Committment to the Eternal Covenant which Christ established and sealed with HIS Precious Blood.

Father, YOUR Spirit within me beckons,
that YOUR Will and Work be done!
Where Faith without works is dead,
use my life to accomplish YOUR WORKs,
through Faith which is at work in me, O'Lord!!
To YOUR Higher Calling I must answer,
that others may know YOUR Love for them!!!
My strength comes from YOU alone,
and I Praise and Honor
YOUR Holy Name, forever!

Amen!
