"The Light Came!"
I remember a few years back when I first heard the Christian group MercyMe who recorded the song, 'I Can Only Imagine'
CliPlay I will confess that I literally cried my eyes out, realizing the awestruck wonder of which Moses must have had, as he gazed in bewilderment at a burning bush in the desert, burning but not totally consumed by the Holy Fire of God, but which spoke his name, calling him to come even closer.
As I read the Old Testament accounts of how God would descend in a cloud upon the tabernacle, HIS Holy Presence resting upon the altar seat within the Holiest of Holies, I too am bewildered, struck with deep awe and wonder, just at the mere thought of being in the very presence of God's Glory.
Jesus tells me through the Gospel account of John the Apostle, that I will also see the Glory of God, by believing in HIM to be Christ, the Son of God.
Where the phrase, "Seeing is Believing", does not even come anywhere close to the fact that God's Spirit has opened my spiritual eyes to much, much more than just seeing, but also opens my understanding of what John records very effectively of Jesus telling us of God's Glory.
What then can I compare to the Glory of God?
I believe every WORD Christ Jesus spoke to be only TRUTH, so when HE says
then who am I to doubt, or for that matter anyone else to say that is not what is seen by all who BELIEVE HE is Christ, Lord and King?
It is now that I have a deeper understanding of exactly what Jesus was proclaiming to the Apostle Peter in
It is then HIS WORDs of Truth and Righteousness, where TESTIMONY of BELIEVERs will, as in the days of Moses, be that tabernacle which displays God's Glory for ALL the world to see.
