"Understand HIS Commands!"
The Apostle Paul writes that he had known great riches and honor, explaining that his greatest JOY was not found in wealth associated with fine meats, clothes and position of status as it once was, but rather later when he states that his greatest JOY was found in Christ and the Gospel of Truth.
Christ Jesus had earlier taught HIS disciples the parable of the unproductive vine, where blooms plentifully clothed it's branches, but that vine produced no fruit, which made the vine worthless to the Master of the Harvest.
The Apostle Paul, along with the other Apostles and disciples clearly by revelation through Holy Spirit, understood that the Gospel of Christ was ALL ABOUT HARVEST!!!
Where they, and all believers in Christ, must Faithfully labor in the sowing, watering and cultivating of the Seed of God's WORD that is planted, with the SOUL purpose of one day being reaped as a Harvest.
God's Spirit revealed to Paul the JOY that God has in those who bear fruit, ripe for a Harvest, and who will SHARE in the gathering that Jesus PROCLAIMED one day will surely come to pass.
Scripture records the rich young ruler walked away saddened greatly because of his immense wealth and riches, when Jesus told him to sell all he had and give to the poor, then come and follow HIM.
Either of these two thoughts existed in that young man's heart,
