"$ouled OUT too Quickly!"

"Bad Deci$ion$ are Co$tly!"

John 13:27-29
(New International Version)

"What you are about to do, do quickly," Jesus told him, but no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him. Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the Feast, or to give something to the poor.

Everytime I read about the "Last Supper", I see something that reminds me of the extreme price Jesus PAID for my Salvation, yet HE was SOLD OUT by Judas, 1 of HIS own disciples, due to the fact that Judas was greedy and selfish, but more importantly out of his ignorance to the TRUTH of the Wealth and Riches that are in Christ Jesus.

Maybe the Apostle Paul remembered hearing of this account from one of those who were present at the time Judas left so quickly.

Judas WAS obedient though, because we know that Jesus DID SAY,

"What you are about to do, do quickly,"

Leaving that for a moment, I want to go forward to what the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in

1 Timothy 6:9
People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.

It was because Judas was greedy, that he sold my Lord and Savior for a measly 30 peices of silver, WHEN he could have held out for MORE, not from the jealous priests and religous leaders, but could have believed for the Riches and Wealth of Eternal Life, yet he was selfish and desired to gain earthly wealth QUICKLY and with little or no sacrifice, except he DID in a sense lend a hand in God's plan for man's Redemption, but that's a topic for another day!

The account of Judas, and his betrayal Jesus, remembering also that Ananias and Saphira sought to gain wealth, QUICKLY,,, from the pretense of helping the po-OR, well I am DO KNOW what happened there too, you see, the Apostle John KNEW from experience, a VALUABLE LESSON that he was taught, revealing what the heart of a greedy and selfish person actually seeks and desires above everything else, expecting to benefit from their claims of kNOwing the King of Kings!

Jesus spoke specifically to HIS Disciples, of the heart condition of the rich young man, which deeply saddened HIM,

Matthew 19:23
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."

WELL,,, Judas must have either

been ABSENT or ASLEEP the Day Jesus spoke those WORDs
to HIS disciples, or maybe, all he could hear and
think about was, "Get RICH QUICKLY".

Not even after seeing all the miracles and signs that proved who Jesus was,,,,

Wait,,, maybe it wa$ dollar $ign$ that Judas was $eeing!!!

Father, YOUR great riches are worth more that silver or gold!
I find in YOU all the treasures of heaven,
but for such a small price was my Savior sold!!
Every last drop of YOUR precious and life giving blood,
was shed for me on a despised and cruel cross!!!
YOUR Grace and Mercy flow over my heart and soul,
from YOUR hands like a raging and windswept flood!!!
What else can be said of YOU, O'Lord?
That will bring another's heart to accept,
the Price YOU paid so dearly in Love,
offering to all who will choose
YOUR wealth of Eternal Life in heaven above!
YOU are Always and Forever, O'Lord!
Amen!
