"A Cutting aWAY of the lIars!"
Christ, as recorded in scripture, spoke at great length of the attitudes and issues of concern within the heart of HIS followers, to which HE gave instruction and counsel in order that these conditions be corrected or eliminated.
The Apostle Paul writing to Titus, was inspired by Holy Spirit to lay out specific measures of action that must be taken when defining, exposing and cleaning up after rebellious, deceptive and self-seeking members in the body of Christ, those who are plying their trades, practicing their own form of righteousnes by a different set of rules, in a deceiving fashion and with eternally and deadly consequences.
The Lord reminds me in HIS WORDs, of 2 people like this, living entirely for their selfish desires, 2 distinct and significant, yet equally as important, instances of a rebellious and consuming spirit of control.
A reference to the spirit of rebellion and control, is recorded in 1 Kings 21:1-16, where the account of Jezebel[(the daughter of a king)a physical lineage in relation to the House of Israel(Faith)] is laid out in detail of a selfish and controlling, and highly regarded as a person of wealth and power.
Ironically, and recorded later in 2 Kings 9:30-37, it is this self-imposing spirit of rebellion against God and HIS anointed[(chosen Voice of God)Prophet(s) Elijah and Elisha] , that her demise comes as no surprise to the TRUE children of the King of Kings!
Secondly, yet in a more significant and with likewise eternal consequences, is the account of Judas Iscariot in Matthew 26:20-25[(disciple of Christ)as defined by a different spiritual lineage, but nonetheless an inheritance of great POWER and WEALTH] and the related closure on the subject of selfishness and rebellion as is recorded in Matthew 27:3-5.
Finding this TRUTH of God's WORD, where one being in the House of Faith[(as a child of God)spiritual circumsion, (supposed, being evidence of santification and separation)in Christ,(inheritance of image and characteristics(spiritual) such as righteousness and royalty(wealth and riches)] continues taking every liberty granted them to the extreme for his or her own self-seeking desires.
Only through revelation by Holy Spriit, am I understanding God's purpose for inspiring Paul to again write about earthly wealth and riches, where such arrogance and indignance to TRUTH, continues to this day costing men and women alike, thIer lIves and thIer Eternal INHERITANCE!
