"They Found HIM!"
With such determination and zeal, did Simon(Peter) and other disciples(James, John and Andrew(Peter's brother) SEEK to find Jesus, that HE might also reveal HIMself as the Christ, Son of the Living God, to those who sought a Savior, a shepherd that could not only save them, but comfort, nurture and feed them as well.
Out of hunger and what seemed impossible circumstances, was it years ago that I was also very much like those who were aimlessly searching for hope, lost and dirty from life, like sheep who have gone astray.
And it was only because a Believer in Christ introduced HIM to me, just like Simon(Peter) and his companions did 2000 years ago.
How pleased Christ must have been, when HE heard Simon(Peter) say, 'Everyone is looking for YOU![and since WE KNOW WHO YOU are, and YOU have told us where YOU have come from, PLEASE come and tell these others, that they might also be healed, redeemed and saved]!!!
I must remember the love Christ has for me and others, who I may not specifically know, yet it is with the same compassion and determination of Simon, James, John and Paul, that I must be Obedient to Holy Spirit, who guides, reveals and teaches more of Christ and who HE is, WHO HE came to testify of and HIS ways as I live each and every day of my life.
I can and never will be able to force anyone to BELIEVE in Christ, but I must be willing to share the Gospel with those who are like sheep, hurting and lost, as did Simon and the other apostles and disciples!
God's WORD reminds me also of what Christ told Peter to do in
Peter was again saddened, knowing that just a few days earlier, he had grieved so deeply because he had denied even knowing Christ, yet Peter found Christ to be loving in HIS restoration of, and stern in HIS commands to(including believers in general), to be Obedient in serving those whom Jesus loved dearly, caring enough to give HIS Life for.
It was just a few days later, on the Day of Pentecost, that this same Peter and other disciples, filled with Holy Spirit, became the bold speaker of God's WORD, the vessel which God was to use to disperse the Gospel into all the world, where so many that day were eager and zealous to journey back to their homes, having found the Savior and Lord, who alone is able to SAVE all who will by FAITH accept HIM.
Now I am obligated, as were Peter and Paul, to search for those hurting and lost sheep, and when they are found, feed them HIS Fresh Sheep Food which comes only through the same inspiration and ongoing work of Holy Spirit, as did those early apostle and disciples who were given the POWER and Authority, by whom the duties to transform dirty sheep into spotless and unblemished lambs, the Objects of HIS Mercy and Grace can be fulfilled in these Last Days!!!
