"Beyond 'The Call'!"
It is of the greatest importance to me as well as all Believers in Christ, to understand the role of Holy Spirit as one who 'Reveals the Truth of God', guiding me into that depth of understanding of God and who HIS Son is for 'Living my Life in Victory'.
To me this scripture is twofold in 'Purpose', one in that it documents the 'Powerful Testimony' of Paul and Silas, which angered those men to the point of making such an astonishing claim about the 'Gospel of Christ Jesus'.
Speaking boldly the Truth about God's WORD, in the 'Power and Authority' given by HIS Spirit, Paul and Silas were refered to as
This statement is actually solid 'Confirmation' of God's WORD spoken by the Old Testament Prophet Isaiah,
No man under his own strength could accomplish such a feat, yet the 'Creator' CAN and DID just this very 'Act of Power', to a world that was so completely filled with rebellion by it's inhabitants.
Yet it is God's 'Plan' that HIS Creation LEARN of HIS Eternal Grace and Mercy, making known to us who Believe in Christ through Holy Spirit, the Truth concerning HIS Sovereign Power!
These men who accused Paul and Silas of such a 'World Changing' event, were unknowingly 'Fulfilling' God's WORD to the letter.
Even where God in HIS Power, used a donkey to 'Speak' to one of HIS Faithful
servants, to deliver HIS Message of 'Repentance and Salvation', the men of Thessalonica were used similiarly to further the 'Scattering of the In-Habitants',,, possibly refering to Believers in Christ who are 'Spirit Filled'.
'Confirmed' in the sight of unbelievers, as an 'Ambassador for Christ', also fulfills the 'Calling and Destiny' of a 'World Changer'.
