'The Agape Letters' to the House of Faith!

Volume 4 Chapter 3 Page 11

"Realm of Believers!"

"United in Fellowship with Christ!"

1 Corinthians 1:17-19
(Amplified Version)

For Christ (the Messiah) sent me out not to baptize
but [to evangelize by] preaching the glad tidings (the Gospel),
and that not with verbal eloquence, lest the cross of Christ should be deprived
of force and emptied of its power and rendered vain (fruitless,
void of value, and of no effect).
For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly
to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition,
but to us who are being saved it is the
[manifestation of] the power of God.
For it is written,
'I will baffle and render useless and destroy the learning of the learned and the philosophy of the philosophers and the cleverness of the clever and the discernment of the discerning; I will frustrate and nullify [them] and bring [them] to nothing.'

The Apostle Paul was knowledgeable of what he was implying here in these verses,

as he himself was before his life changing experience with Christ,
a learned philosopher of philosophy, discerning only those teachings that had been taught by men
and not as Revelation from God through Holy Spirit.

What had once baffled Paul, and most likely rendered

all his great learning and eloquent speech,
vain and worthless in God's sight,
was now being revealed and manifesting in his life
by God's Spirit of Power, Knowledge and Wisdom.

Surely to many of those whom Paul wrote to in his letters, thought his claims and testimony of Christ to be nothing more than absurd babblings

from a ridiculous and frustrated man,
who wandered about the countryside without any real goal or mission in the present life.

What I now see 2000 years later is this,

the Apostle Paul and those who traveled from city to city with him,
preaching the message of the Cross,
that Gospel of Christ that brought Salvation, Redemption and Power,
were united in the 'One Cause',
having both the answers to living life in this present physical realm,
and the 'TRUTH' of the Spiritual Realm which will exist for Eternity.

Addressing those issues which causes division and strife within the Fellowship of Believers in Christ,

Pride, Haughtiness, Dominating control
and the supposed Superiority of Discernment by many leaders,
Paul taught and stood firmly against these attitudes which disrupted the 'Bond of Unity'.

Stressing the importance of transformation which comes by Holy Spirit

through his Obedience to the Gospel message,
Paul clearly understood more about the 'Spiritual Unity'
that exists in Eternity,
as opposed to the temporary existence that I live in now.

Learning to 'Unite in Fellowship' in this life now,

trains my spirit for the 'Eternal Unity'
in the Holy Presence of God,
where bickering and disassociation DO NOT EXIST!!!

More of who Christ IS to me!

          MORE like HIM,

                        I desire to be!!

                      Some day SOON, with HIM I will BE!!!

Father, YOUR hands mold my life and pattern me to YOUR likeness!
I must allow YOUR Power to shape these rough edges,
cleansing and purifying my heart in YOUR Ways!!
Christ in me, IS my Lord and HIM must I Obey,
YOUR Spirit must quide my footsteps through
this journey of life, a most narrow and rocky way!!!
A voice crying from within, YOU have heard,
my deep desire is to know MORE of YOUR love for me!
HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
How Majestic is YOUR Name, O'Lord!!!
YOU, O'Lord, are my 'SWORD and my Victory',
In YOUR Presence I am!!!
Amen and Forever!
