"Book Review!"
The Apostle Paul shares his Joy when he writes to the Believers in Christ living in Thessalonica, leaving for me a record of how they have become both imitators of Christ Jesus and of the church for which HE gave HIS life as a ransom.
Does my life as an imitator and Believer, as a member of the Body of Christ, bear any likeness to the image and character of that 1st century church of which Paul, Luke and other apostles record as the inspired WORKs of God in their lives?
What of the detailed accounts of men and women whose lives were transformed by the 'superhuman power' of Holy Spirit, where the sick and lame are healed and begin to walk, the blind, deaf and mute receive their sight, hearing and speak of YOUR Mercies?
When will demons and spirits of all forms and kinds of evil be driven out in YOUR Name O'Lord, and YOUR Peace and Joy reigns in those delivered hearts, bearing evidence of the Fruit of YOUR Holy Spirit?
What of those days when Believers will again dedicate their lives to furthuring the Gospel, despite the threats of beatings, stonings, imprisonment and even death, yet they continue in Faith doing YOUR WORKs O'Lord?
What will mark the days in which YOU prophesied O'Lord that young men will see visions and old men will dream dreams that testify of YOUR Holiness, where marriages are reconciled, the homeless and aged are cared for and babies are born into whole families, full of love instead of being slaughtered and thrown aside like garbage?
When will the addictive pursuit of obtaining wealth and honor in the marketplace, only to walk past those who hunger and thirst for just a morsel of YOUR Bread of Life, saying or doing nothing, be overtaken by the hunger and zeal to establish YOUR Covenant in the earth, which is YOUR mission and purpose for the outcome of all my labors and income?
Will I too O'Lord, be found tested, tried and proven when YOU 'POP' quiz YOUR people on the Glorious Day of Gathering, being found fully dependent upon YOU and YOUR Spirit for discernment, bearing the fruit of souls into YOUR Great Harvest?
Or rather will I be found having just relied upon my perception and association with those who are SEEKING YOUR Will, yet are barren and fruitless in bringing lost souls into YOUR Kingdom because I refuse to be moved with compassion by YOUR Spirit?
Is Repentance the narrow road that YOU say few will take, yet YOUR WORD says it will take me into YOUR provision called Reconciliation?
Why is it that YOU mention that some might return to YOU, seeking Forgiveness and a place of Righteousness, when they have never before been truly YOURs nor have they been humbled by YOUR Holy Presence?
O'Lord, does Revival come when all YOU ever hear or see of me is a couple of hours each week, showing up late, leaving early, yet I jump into YOUR lap and whisper I love YOU before I run off and do my own thing?
Or is it when I Obey YOU and witness to the lost, telling them of YOUR Love and teaching them of YOUR Promise of Eternal Life through YOUR Son Christ Jesus that then is when YOU are truly pleased with me and show me YOUR deepest realm of Faithfullness and Glory?
O'Lord, in YOUR eyes am I a full-blown imitator of those events which are recorded as the TRUE ACTs of YOUR 'Called' according to YOUR Purpose and 'Chosen', fulfilling the Destiny YOU have spoken over my life?
When O'Lord, will I begin to LOOK like YOUR WORD in YOUR BOOK,
