"Guardian of Truth!"
By gaining an ever increasing knowledge of God and HIS WORD, this in itself prepares a Believer for the 'Sentry Position', a designation which requires strict Obedience.
Possessing all the 'head' knowledge made available to me of God and HIS WORD, as the Apostle Paul says, is a futile endeavor at best, when the Understanding and Wisdom that is associated with the Promise of Salvation goes unprotected by the Spiritual Covering provided by Holy Spirit.
The 'helmet' which Paul describes has 3 openings, in the area of the ears, eyes and mouth, specifically designed to allow the 'Warrior' to 'Hear' my King's VOICE, to 'See' the enemy and to 'Speak' the WORDs of Truth as a 'Herald', sounding the alarm and proclaiming the 'Good News' of Christ Jesus.
This point made by Paul regarding the knowledge of God's Eternal 'Truth', is many times overlooked as I grasp tightly to the 'Sword of HIS Spirit'.
As I look intently at what Paul is saying, I must 'temper' the hardness of my 'sWORD' with HIS Holy 'FIRE', an ongoing WORK within me that produces a 'Weapon of WARfare' more than capable of destroying and conquering over every evil.
My head must be covered by this helmet, protecting my mind from those thoughts which can and will destroy me from within, if I allow them entrance into my heart.
As Lord and King, Christ Jesus 'Anoints and Appoints' those who Choose to serve HIM in Faithful Obedience, with HIS 'Mark' of Holy Spirit, a guarantee afforded only to 'Warriors'.
HIS 'Orders' command 'Righteousness and Valor', in the fierce and raging battle for lost souls, for which the Kingdom of Heaven advances Victoriously through every nation on the face of the earth.
Self-portrayal as a 'Headstrong and saber rattling Vigilante', is an image not even close to 'HIS Image and Likeness', AS God has transformed me by the Power of Holy Spirit into a 'Kingdom Warrior for Christ'!
