September 2007 Archive

Monday September 3, 2007       "Honorable Labor!"
"The Work of HIS Saints!"
Colossians 1:28-29 (Amplified Bible)
Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One). For this I labor [unto weariness], striving with all the superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me.
Christ beckons HIS Followers to proclaim the Good News of God's Grace, striving as did the Apostle Paul 2000 years ago.

Tuesday September 4, 2007       "Gift of Grace!"
"Through Christ!"
2 Corinthians 6:1 (Amplified Bible)
LABORING TOGETHER [as God's fellow workers] with Him then, we beg of you not to receive the grace of God in vain [that merciful kindness by which God exerts His holy influence on souls and turns them to Christ, keeping and strengthening them--do not receive it to no purpose].
The Apostle Paul reminds me in these WORDs of God's Spirit of Grace, and HIS influence of holiness and righteousness upon my heart.

Wednesday September 5, 2007       "Fullness of HIS Grace!"
"Both Seen and Heard!"
John 12:40-41 (Amplified Bible)
He has blinded their eyes and hardened and benumbed their [callous, degenerated] hearts [He has made their minds dull], to keep them from seeing with their eyes and understanding with their hearts and minds and repenting and turning to Me to heal them. Isaiah said this because he saw His glory and spoke of Him.
These WORDs recorded by Isaiah, the Prophet of God, as recited by the Apostle John, strike a resounding chord that can be heard even today 2000 years after being written.

Thursday September 6, 2007       "ALTERed by HIS LOVE!"
"Altar of Sacrifice!"
1 Peter 2:24 (Amplified Bible)
He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
These WORDs of the Apostle Peter, paint a vivid picture in my heart, of God's deep Love for me.

Monday September 10, 2007       "Steadfast Heart!"
"Patience in Waiting!"
2 Thessalonians 3:5 (Amplified Bible)
May the Lord direct your hearts into [realizing and showing] the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ and in waiting for His return.
The Apostle Paul urges me as a Believer in Christ, to continue in Steadfast HOPE, with Patient Endurance, submitting in my heart to HIS Spirit, that I might realize and show to others that God's Love is genuine.

Tuesday September 11, 2007       "Much Fruit!"
"Harvest of Plenty!"
John 15:8 (Amplified Bible)
(Jesus speaking)
When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.
There is much to be done in God's Kingdom, and those who serve HIM must produce the fruit that pleases and honors HIM.

Wednesday September 12, 2007       "Sing HIS Praises!"
"Glorify HIS Name!"
Romans 15:9 (Amplified Bible)
And [also in order] that the Gentiles (nations) might glorify God for His mercy [not covenanted] to them. As it is written, Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles and sing praises to Your name.
God's WORD speaks of HIS enduring Mercy, that while I was separated and far from HIM, HIS Son Christ Jesus brought HOPE, restoring me into fellowship with my heavenly Father. and those who serve HIM must produce the fruit that pleases and honors HIM.

Thursday September 13, 2007       "PowerFULL Promise!"
"Spirit of God!"
Acts 2:39 (Amplified Bible)
For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself
The Apostle Peter, along with the 11 disciples, stood boldly Proclaiming the Fullness and Power of God in the Resurrection of Christ.

Friday September 14, 2007       "Thrilled!"
"With Glorious Joy!"
1 Peter 1:8 (Amplified Bible)
Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy.
Believers in Christ who as the Apostle Peter described as having not seen HIM, will one day be Thrilled and Filled with Inexpressible heavenly Joy.

Monday September 17, 2007       "Storm Shelter!"
2 Timothy 4:18 (Amplified Bible)
[And indeed] the Lord will certainly deliver and draw me to Himself from every assault of evil. He will preserve and bring me safe unto His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen (so be it).
Certainly the Apostle Paul was no stranger to the sufferings of discipleship, because before he was transformed by the Power of God's Spirit, he himself had perpetrated severe persecution upon those early believers.

Tuesday September 18, 2007       "Proclaim HIS Favor!"
Galatians 5:4-5 (Amplified Bible)
If you seek to be justified and declared righteous and to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing and so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God's gracious favor and unmerited blessing).....
To the Believers at Galatia, the Apostle Paul proclaims Freedom and Liberty through Christ, relying upon God's Grace for both Righteousness and Justification.

Wedesday September 19, 2007       "Liberated!"
Galatians 5:1 (Amplified Bible)
IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].
This 5th Chapter of the Apostle Paul's letter to the Galatian Believers, confronts the snare that entangles and traps many Believers in the Body of Christ even today.

Thursday September 20, 2007       "Warriors for Peace!"
Philippians 4:7 (Amplified Bible)
And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content....
Salvation for man's soul is assured through Christ, and the Contentment which the Apostle Paul speaks of, is God's provision of Peace which comes only through HIS Spirit.

Thursday September 27, 2007       "Day of Victory!"
2 Corinthians 2:14 (Amplified Bible)
But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ's victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere,....
The Apostle Paul confirms the standing of those who Believe in Christ, always triumphant and being lead through each day as evidence of HIS Victory over darkness.
