"Pray with Purpose and Power!"
In reading a highly recommended book that I recently received from a close and trusted friend, combined with the heaviness of self-examination and the anticipation which accompanies having great expectations about the upcoming new year of 2008, I am driven back to these Holy Spirit inspired WORDs of Paul, an Apostle and servant of Jesus Christ, Lord, Savior and King of heaven, earth and every created thing.
I know God has brought me to this very place in my life, as one would say, full circle and prophetically back to a position much like the first day after I finally realized HE has a greater plan and a purpose for my life than what I was currently living.
Intending to search God's WORD more diligently than ever before, I desire to know exactly and without any reservations, why it is that God is so continually Gracious and Faithfull in revealing HIMself by HIS Spirit in this present day, with such Love, Kindness and Patience.
For it sometimes seems as though HE has restored specific relationships so that I can see the physical effects of my prayers, yet there are other relationships that HE has postponed in restoring, in order that I might learn something more about myself.
Where in the past few days, I have received many lengthy reports of great accomplishments made in the lives of many other Believers in Christ, as they have extricated with such precision, each and every event from their memory of the past year.
Detailing with such vivid and almost unbelievable accuracy, that I have begun questioning myself as to what depth does God desire to take me before I begin seeing things in the spiritual realm which is eternal, rather than just having insight into this physical realm that I believe will soon fade away with HIS Glorious appearing.
Reminded by this scripture of HIS Power that is at WORK within me, I awoke this morning seeking HIS Face for direction and strength, not just to make it through another day, but attempting to grasp a deeper understanding of HIS Sufficiency and Provision through Christ.
Few would ever admit their weaknesses, and even fewer would report of their disappointments, much less put them into words which could later be defined as a historical recording of their lifelong journey, detailing every heartache and frustration so that others could associate with them, and possibly learn how dependent upon God they had or had not been in those times of trouble.
Whereas Paul wrote sympathetically at times in his epistles, he also wrote pointedly about many of those situations which brought out his displeasure with the obvious lack of HOPE that he witnessed in the attitudes and responses by Believers in circumstances that they themselves had brought about.
In this present age, having virtually an unlimited access to thousands upon thousands, possibly millions perhaps, of personal blogs and newsletters of every conceivable opinion and thought, it is imperative to keep focused upon God's WORD for direction and strength.
Many others are able to speak their personal thoughts and opinions about doctrines and prophecies, having hoardes of readers drooling over the vast knowledge exhibited by the volumes of books they have published, yet it still remains that ONE BOOK must command my full attention, depicting a cornerstone, foundation and source upon which all of LIFE was built and is sustained.
If such recommended reading then contains something which encourages and inspires others to seek God in such depth, then I must look at what I write each morning with increased discretion and discernment.
To Decree and Declare the Kingdom of God, and HIS principles of Holiness and Righteousness, contain the same message of LIFE such as which Christ came 2000 years ago proclaiming in Truth, written in WORD and propagated by HIS Spirit.
Where the events of New Testament Church have been recorded as 'Beginnings' by such inspired men as Paul, John and Peter, they each described in their letters of an Everlasting Testimony pointing to God's Gift of Power and Authority, by which mankind will be able to stand as LIGHT in the midst of darkness.
If those of you whom I have sent these daily messages to in the past years, have received some encouragement or inspiration to seek and live in a deeper relationship with God, then I would only ask that you contact me and give me your report of how HE continues to be Faithful and Gracious in HIS answer to your prayers and petitions.
