"Never Forsaken!"
The writer of Hebrews reminds me that as I strive each day to be more like the Believer God desires to shape me into, and where I have HIS unfailing Promise to never leave nor forsake me, I am able to fulfill the Plan and Purpose HE has chosen me to follow.
As I submit to HIS Spirit, HE WILL Comfort and Guide my every thought and action, which closely resembles those traits evident in the life of Christ Jesus, and what HE said would be a sign to others that I belong to HIM.
I have been given a choice, yet if left on my own to discern between the good and evil, without Holy Spirit as God's Presence and Power to know and understand the difference, I would fail miserably in my desire to be Christ-like in many aspects of my life.
Embracing the teachings found in God's WORD of those Faithful men who were diligent to search the depths and heights, who relying completely upon God for their substance were never put to shame for proclaiming HIS Holy Name among the people.
While there are certainly things of this world that could pull my attention away from pleasing God, I am able to see that they are only temporary and will fade away.
I would rather choose to please HIM and be found Obedient and Faithful, than to have placed my Hope and Trust in those things, never knowing the goodness and eternal qualities that HE imparts through HIS Spirit.
