"A Gripping Truth!"
Gaining the knowledge of good and evil was somehow supposed to fulfill man, but even the very thought that man was an incomplete creation of God, is the first lie which man was deceived into thinking much less in believing.
As God's Truth has been set aside for thousands of years, countless hearts and minds have embraced and held tightly to false and erroneous thinking.
Just what did mankind learn by 'Gaining the Knowledge of Good and Evil', if only to choose doing evil over doing good?
Refering to the inspired WORDs of God written in the Book of Hebrews, I see knowledge in a much different way now that I have God's Spirit to counsel, guide and reveal to me the Truth of two unchangeable things.
God's PROMISE of a Redeemer and Savior, Christ Jesus, who has come that I might believe in HIM and receive forgiveness for the rebellion and rejection of my sin.
Also an OATH, in such that God established a New Covenant and provides the HOPE which is fulfilled only in Jesus.
It was a false hope that drove man to think that he could become God.
Yet by embracing the 'Gripping Truth' of God's PROMISE and OATH, which brings LIFE to my soul, as opposed to 'Gaining Knowledge of Good and Evil', which is a selfish desire that only leads to death and Eternal separation from God's Holy Presence.
It will be today that many will ultimately come to 'Grips' with the reality of Christ Jesus, as God's 'OATH fulfilling PROMISE', being available to all who will accept HIM as Savior and Lord.
Where both the Truth and Righteousness of God produces a greater knowledge of Good, no one should be settling for what is an imitation and deception, where only hopelessness and despair is the reward.
Knowledge of God and HIS Provision of Eternal LIFE, is sound understanding, a Refuge, an Indwelling Strength and a Strong Encouragement to all who choose to believe in Christ Jesus, and HIM alone as 'Promise and Oath' fulfilled.
