"One of my Favorite Scriptures!"
Praying for others to receive 'Spiritual' Knowledge as riches of both goodness and Wisdom, the Apostle Paul encourages me to earnestly seek being found competent in my personal study and teaching of God's WORD.
Paul, who before had been a strict 'Observer' of God's Law as a Pharisee, confesses how he had chosen to submit to God's VOICE, Holy Spirit as a Counselor and Guide opening the eyes of his heart to the wealth of Understanding and Wisdom available through Christ Jesus.
For myself, I could forego the reading of other books or any material, for truly they are of lesser value when compared to God's WORD, yet much can be gained from their pages in regards to encouragement and inspiration, when I gauge their content according to Scripture.
A discerning heart guided by God's Spirit, will sift through all that I read, and the benefits received will be likened to vast riches, abundant and overflowing of God's goodness and instruction.
Considering my days to be fulfilled, I hunger and thirst for 'spiritual' food and drink that is found only in God's WORD, the Bread of Life and Living Water, nourishment for my spiritual understanding of just who Christ Jesus is and HIS great Love for my soul.
