1 Iyar 5768 (Hebrew 8th Month) "UnSHACKLED!"
Some years ago, I listened to a radio program called 'UnShackled', the outline of this program centered around the personal testimonies of people who had experienced 'LIFE' changing encounters with Christ, FOREVER changing not only their lives but their ETERNITY as well.
The Apostle Paul refers to himself as a 'bond servant', much different in meaning than a slave, and he clearly goes onto explaining the contrast between the two.
Whereas, a slave is bound and chained by phyical restraints, controlled and many times abused by their master, Paul chooses rather to portray himself as a dutiful servant spiritually 'Bound and Chained' by Holy Spirit to his Master and Lord, Christ Jesus.
Similar to that radio program 'UnShackled', Paul writes many of his letters to Believers, exhorting them to proclaim their 'Spiritual Servanthood', which is such a miraculous WORK of God, and directly opposed to the state of their life 'Before' Christ.
Jesus had some 25 plus years earlier, had stood in the synagogue and proclaimed HIMself to be God's 'Anointed' Liberator and Redeemer of the 'captives' as HE read from the Book of Isaiah, and recorded by Luke,
These WORDs contained the POWER of God's Kingdom, to transform slaves bound and held captive, into servants of God, spiritually bound by a 'bond' that totally transformed Paul's life.
Apart from the 'religious' restraints, so closely guarded by the Priests, Pharisees and men like Saul(Paul), God desired mankind to be restrained by 'relationship' through Holy Spirit, restored in fellowship with their heavenly MASTER...
Paul's own account of 'UnShackled', is found in the Book of Acts Chapter 9, and as I read in Paul's letters, he later traveled extensively 'Proclaiming' the Gospel, God's Kingdom message of Liberty, Freedom and POWER-fille LIFE, to literally thousands in cities all across the Middle East, Asia and deep into the Roman Empire.
Believers today are themselves 'UnShackled', also being 'Called' into 'ServantHood', and bound by Holy Spirit with POWER to 'Proclaim' that same message of 'Freedom in Christ' to millions held as captives.
Never before in history, has God's Kingdom message been so needed by the masses,
